Project 2: Getting Home Late, (Artist statement included)

I made this with the intent of trying to replicate my favorite feeling which is this feeling of almost oppressive quiet late at night. This feeling is only occasionally broken through by a few sharp noises and sounds as I go about my night. I originally wanted to call this "A Quiet Reprieve" but I decided to go with a more literal title as I felt that it summed up what this piece became over time more than the original title.
After listening to this in class I realized that the sound on my headset had been pretty different to the classroom speakers and I should have definitely adjusted the volume on the fan and the dish washer
in particular, other than that I could have also tried to remove the background noise from the footsteps sound but I don't know how I would have done that. I'm not quite as proud of this assignment as the first one but I still feel like I tried hard on it.
