I loved working on this project.
I've always wanted to make video games, ever since I was a little kid so whenever I get the opportunity to turn a project in school into a game I relish the chance.
This project was no exception with the small change that I was using a website editor and I was making most of the animations myself.
I chose to make the project be based after the game the Binding of Isaac because it had two distinct styles that I thought meshed well with the kind of puppetry animation I wanted to use throughout, that being flash art and pixel art.
Basing my project off of an already existing game also gave me a ton of material to work with when it came to found images and assets to use for not only rooms but also Easter Eggs.
I also thought that the map system of getting around served two purposes since it furthered the aesthetic of the game itself and also was a functional way of making sure that the player always knew where they were/ could go.
Finally, I just want to say thank you for making this class one of my favorites I had this semester. I really feel like I learned quite a bit that I can use in my future life.
